Now that we've got the basic styles down pat, it's time to branch off into makeup genres. For the next few weeks we'll be moving on to common styles of makeup requested within the industry such as:
- Theatrical
- Music Video & Music Concert
- Geisha
- Egyption
- Maori & Tattooing

Today, we were focusing on the film industry and had to do a script interpretation and breakdown, as well as create a makeup face chart for a selected character. The trainer provided us with an unnamed script extract, although it was pretty obvious what it was from a glance! (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl)
I picked the character 'Gillette' and designed a face chart for him to be handed in as an assessment. We didn't get to do the look in a prac, but that's ok; I don't think I could have convinced my guy friend to come for a second round of makeup. :P
